There are many ways that we can approach the issue.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][mk_custom_list title=”Spectra Tech can perform the following services as needed:” style=”mk-icon-caret-right”]

  • Assist in determining and quantifying the privacy expectations, and the noise, vibration, and impact insulation reductions requirements of facility occupants
  • Conduct Noise Criteria (NC) Curve, Field Sound Transmission Class (FSTC) and Field Impact Isulation Class (FIIC), and vibration performance testing on-site, per ASTM standards to determine current acoustical conditions at the site.
  • Identify and quantify the sound level and frequency range of intruding speech, music, or equipment noise.
  • Survey existing building construction, systems, and equipment in order to identify current privacy performance and deficiencies
  • Rate the measured privacy performance of existing construction, or the predicted privacy performance of proposed construction, using recognized privacy rating standards.
  • Identify opportunities and constraints pertaining to implementation of designs related to achievement of privacy,  sound transmission class, and noise criteria.
  • Present design architectural design and / or sound masking system design options that will result in the desired level of privacy.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid & contract documents, including plans and specifications.
  • Assist in preparation of budget estimates for materials, installation labor, and support services
  • Identify and prequalify acceptable contractors
  • Assist in bid and contract administration
  • Performance post-construction testing to assist in fine-tuning the installation, assure contractor compliance with contract, and achievement of the the following contract requirements:
  • Noise Criteria (NC) Curve background noise levels in all areas
  • ASTC/FSTC Sound Transmission Class performance of demising walls, ceilings, interior doors, and windows
  • OITC Outside to Inside Transmission Class performance of exterior building facades and facade elements
  • AIIC/FIIC Impact Insulation Class performance of demising floor/ceilings
  • Maximum vibration level of structural slabs, for areas where MRI or precision testing equipment will be installed.
